This is a very simple game from Japan. No screen change. No levels. Basically all you need to do when playing the game is to throw a dice one at a time or possibly two or three at a time to the target circle where you will get points. How much points you gain is depending on the number on the dice and how close the thrown dice is to the center of the target circle.

I would say that this game is addictive. At first I thought it was gonna be just about throwing dices to the circle and pile them inside the circle. I found out that it’s more than that. By more than that I mean each time you play it it ends with a different result.

The higher and closer to the core you can successfully pile the dices the more points you get.

There are two types of game on the game itself. First one is called Chain Mode which is basically a mode when you are given certain time to pile as many dices as you can anywhere inside the circle regardless the distance to its center. The second one is called Score Mode which is a mode when you are given unlimited time but certain amount of dices to throw to the circle to try your luck if you can pile as many dices as you can inside the circle and also right on the center to gain bigger points.

What’s cool:
Easy to play by only swiping your finger. Very simple, yet attractive.

What’s not cool:
The number of dices given on Score Mode is too little.

Personal Opinion:
★★★★★ (5 stars)

It’s a game with a simple concept but very interesting. I’d call it very ‘electrical’.

The game graphics are excellent. To play the game, you only need to follow short paths using one finger which can have complicated twists on higher levels. The response to your finger following the path is immediate with no delay. Very exciting and interesting background sounds.

There are obstacles on the way which can make the game even more interesting. You are given limited time which you can see on both sides of the screen. Fortunately there are also ‘lightnings’ that you can collect on the pathway which make the time last longer.

What’s cool:
Attractive sounds and graphics for the explosions and the electrical movements under your finger.

What’s not cool:
So far I haven’t found anything that’s not cool about the game!

Personal Opinion:
★★★★★ (5 stars)

This is my favorite game amongst other ‘tower defense’ iTunes games. It’s so much fun, the concept is pretty basic, you need to protect the little kid who is asleep in the bed from ‘monsters’ that come out of the closet door. To do so you can place as many protectors as you can including alien guns, glue guns, electric flashlights, powerful boomerangs, etc.

To buy and upgrade the protectors you need points which you can gain from killing the monsters and destroying items around where you place the protectors.

It’s fun to hear and see the protectors destroy the monsters thanks to the very interesting background sounds and graphics.

I do recommend this game. It’s super-addictive.

What’s cool:
To be able to use all the protectors mentioned above makes the game so cool already. What’s even better you can upgrade to make them much more powerful!

Don’t worry you can also choose the level of difficulty from Easy, Normal to Hard on each level.

What’s not cool:
The game can get very hard that makes it almost impossible to go level up, even if you choose the Easy option.

I think the description given on iTunes is pretty clear to imagine what the game is like. The concept of the game is very basic, you just throw the candy to the Halloween costumed kids.

Notice the blue striped bar just above the bowl full of candy shows how far you can throw the candy from the bowl, so you can ‘attack’ the kids with the candy even before they get close to you.

What’s cool:
The graphics are smooth and pretty interesting.

If you like simple games without many changes you will like this. Perhaps something to play on Halloween while waiting for the kids to knock.

What’s not cool:
What I don’t like about this game is that the location doesn’t change. It’s a non-stop game, so you keep throwing the candy to the kids. That’s all about it. Interesting for 5-10 minutes.

Application Description on iTunes (to 10/8/09): Edgar and 13 team up in Flying Furball. Control 13 as he jumps and ducks to collect fish bones and avoid the nasty obstacles. Collect loads of bonus points for every bone you collect in sequence. Flying Furball will put your reaction times to the test with three exciting levels.

★★★★ (4 stars)

Before I bought the game I thought the graphics were cool and pretty simple.  There are only two buttons to tap when playing this game – to jump and to squat. The guy with his cat on his head never stops walking so all you need to do is to avoid the obstacles and to collect the fish bone by moving the cat using the two tap buttons. You cannot walk backwards.

What’s cool:

Changes in the background/theme influences the perception of the gaming environment. At some places, such as the Chinese restaurant, the decoration can be mistaken for obstacles which makes the game even more fun.

What’s not cool:

So far so good. However you may get bored with only moving the cat to jump and the guy to squat.
